Photographing the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art

As part of my trip to the Andalusia region of Spain last spring, I had the privilege of photographing the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art‘s show “How the Andalusian Horses Dance,” featuring highly trained horses and handlers.

This performance showcases the exceptional horsemanship that makes this one of the Big Four most prestigious classical riding academies in the world.

The performance blended both art and horsemanship. The entire show was choreographed to classical music, which, as a classically trained musician, really brought it to life for me!

A tack room that looks like a museum? Yes please! That’s just one of the things I got to see when I went behind-the-scenes at this incredible show!
