Journey to Andalusia Horse Illustrated Feature

The absolute cherry on top of my incredible trip to Spain was having my story and images from the trip published in the latest issue of Horse Illustrated!

They always do such a beautiful job with editing, design, and layout, and it’s a privilege to have my work and experiences shared with readers of such a respected magazine.

You’ll have to get a copy to read the full article, but I’ll share the last few paragraphs here, because I really haven’t shared the impact this trip had on me personally…

It’s safe to say that our Andalusian Escape was one of the highlights of my life, both as a photographer and an equestrian. Not only was it a huge success from an event standpoint, with incredible photography opportunities, some of the best food I’ve ever eaten, fun experiences, and amazing people, but it also showed me that I need to push out of my comfort zone more and really live.

I said yes to this experience when I was going through a very difficult season of loss in my personal life, which had me trying to make life smaller. More manageable. Less stressful. More comfortable. But during this trip, I realized that I want to live my one precious life to the fullest, and that travel, especially travel involving horses, is one of the most powerful ways to do that.

In the end, Andalusia gave me more than beautiful photographs. It gave me back a bigger, braver version of myself.
