Greta’s Senior Photos with Her Horses Remi & Raz

I’m sort of panicking because it suddenly got green outside and I’m only about halfway through blogging last year’s sessions! I will try and catch up in the next few weeks. Try. 🙂

I thought it would be appropriate to share Greta’s photos today because she had a big accomplishment over the weekend with her horse Raz (the one with a white blaze). She won the Training Three Day at the Heart Of the Carolinas! She has spent the last few months in North Carolina with her trainer Becky Holder, and it looks like it’s definitely paid off! Congratulations Greta!

I love, love, LOVED photographing Greta! She is such a fun young woman and adores her two horses, so she made my job easy! Greta is also a big goofball, so we had a lot of laughs while doing her senior photos.

We did the session in two parts. The first evening, I photographed her with her horses at Trinity Farm in Long Lake MN. Then a few nights later, I drove down to her parent’s winery in Mankato to do some photos with just Greta in the beautiful scenery that surrounds it.

I love this classic portrait so much, I had a print made and hung it in my studio.

This photo went in Greta’s album! I love that she loved the goofy moments!

I love it when light streams through windows. I have so much fun playing with it!

Greta can do serious, but note that she still has a slight smile in the corner of her mouth. 😉

That’s more like it!

Can I adopt her??

Greta is also an accomplished skier, so we ended the session at Mountkato Ski Area.

Friends are welcome at my sessions!

Ms Paulson for more than an hour I’ve been glued to your site! Your photos are awesome, your words and work ethic is nothing short of inspiring! I am a horse lover myself unfortunately I don’t get to interact with them on the level that you do. I am also starting a photography business. I’m trying to find my niche, and find your work with seniors particularly interesting and inspiring. Where I’m from (Nassau, Bahamas), photographing the senior class is a bit hum drum, and cookie cutter! I like the idea of placing the children in a setting that highlight’s their interests it seems to give the photos more meaning. I am leaning heavily on trying this out for myself. Your work is just so wonderful, I’m sure you relationship with God and His son have much to do with your success!
Look for my work on my website soon to come!
