I find it such a joy to photograph young women with horses that they just adore. Marissa was the epitome of that with her two horses Rueger and Zaster. She loves them, they love her back, it shows. She rides Cross Country, which means she basically flies on these horses over jumps, water hazards, you name it. I have such respect for people who ride this discipline, and I had a lot of brave young clients this year who do!

Another thing that I loved about photographing Marissa was her beautiful, genuine smile. Her joy is written on her face with such authenticity, you can’t help but smile with her!
